I've got a couple little things I'm working on, and it'd be really cool
to be able to remotely activate them.  What I'm looking for is a sample
design, or some pointers on building a simple hand-held remote to turn a
device on and off.  I imagine it should be fairly easy with a couple of
off-the-shelf components, but I havn't had much luck finding anything on
the 'net.

Also, what would you recommend if I wanted to be able to send multiple
different commands or data?  Any have experience with the rfPic for
purposes such as this?
