I tried searching the archives for this one, but every listing concentrated
around a 32.768kHz oscillator source.

Anyways, my PIC application will require an accurate 1 second internal
counter for timing, but does require a system clock speed of 4-20Mhz.

I was planning on using a PIC16C66 microcontroller which allows the use of a
second oscillator at RC0 and RC1 set at 32.768kHz, but I am looking towards
possibly using a small PIC device that doesn't have this feature.

Any thoughts on how to utilize a second counter using the 4+MHz system
clock???
