Has anyone had any experience with the PICkit1 from MChip?
It looks like an inexpensive way to introduce a few of
my programmers to PICs.
While it claims to support 8 and 14 pin flash pics, I'm
also wondering if it would support larger pics through
a homebrew ICSP cable.

As cheap as it is, even if it's only a "trainer" it might
be worth the money. If it'll double as a USB ICSP programmer,
so much the better.

Any experiences or opinions are welcomed.
