You think they'd at least have the presence of mind to say something like,

"Recent travel advisories have curtailed travel to and from asia,
hampering business communications - many of which are still performed
face to face.  The infrastructure to support these transactions
virtually is in place, and we are currently training and testing it so
we can eliminate many of these travel issues."
