Yes Mom. Look I know how to "speak proppa" when I need to. This however was just a quip. One of my pet hates is grammar nuts on email lists. Well the book longnitude has them accurate to a few seconds a month on a heavily pitching ship (though captain Cook (discoverer of Australia) had = 17 of them on board). Traditional grandfather type clocks are probbably on the order of a secon= d or 2 per day. Is that better? the thing only has 2 sentances does it really make that much of a difference? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jan-erik S=F6derholm (QAC)" To: Sent: Wednesday, April 09, 2003 12:20 AM Subject: Re: [PIC]: A metronome project > No offence, just a few tips that enhance readability > of your posts... > > - Sentences stars with a character in upper case. > - Sentences ends with a period. > - Cook is spelled with upper case "C". > > That way, readers will think more about what you actualy > are saying, not the way you say it. > > (Btw, what made you spell "Australia" with an upper case "A" ?) > > Jan-Erik S=F6derholm. > > Jake Anderson wrote: > > >well the book longnitude has them accurate to a few seconds a month on= a > >heavily pitching ship (though captain cook (discoverer of Australia) h= ad 17 > >of them on board) > >traditional grandfather type clocks are probbably on the order of a second > >or 2 per day > > -- > http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics > (like ads or off topics) for you.
