        You mention you found projects using an "obsolete" chip. Converting code
that ran on one PIC to run on another is generally very easy, especially in
this case since old chips likely will not use peripherals not available on a
newer chip. For what chip did you find code? We could probably help you with
the conversion stage. TTYL
