Now that some digital test gear is passing its 25th birthday or more, has anyone had problems with EPROM life? EPROM datasheets from the mid 1970's give a data retention life of 25 years. I have a HP1631 logic analyser that is currently running fine but is over 20 years old. Should I worry about it losing its program? Would it be worth removing the EPROMS and making archive copies of their contents?
