The search engine operates only on FAQ and mailing list. OK, the haystack is huge and needles are tiny. You have basically 2 options: 1. Select 'advanced' on the PIC FAQ line and use 'and' and 'or' between the keywords to narrow down the list of hits (after reading the 'search tips'). 2. Wade through the pile of hits until you find where are looking for. When someone posts here a vague question he'll get many wrong answers, meaning a waste of time of people who tried to be helpful. It will be much more effective to let the search engine do the 'dirty' work and when it doesn't lead to a solution enter a request for *additional* help here. Working with the search engine helps define your question more precisely, resulting more appropriate answers. And it also helps if you show some proof that you did your best to find the answer by yourself! Anyway the search on Piclist is not as limited as you think, you'll also find pieces of code. On the other hand the "Piclist Source Code Library" is pretty well structured, and in the Input/Output sections of the Asm, C and Jal libraries you'll find pretty quickly the communications samples.
