Hi. I was primarily looking at the small 0.9 and 1.2 A variants in 8-pin DIP cases. The PR3-series. Digikey have them for $0.95 in quantity of 50 for a chip with an integrated Triac and opto coupler 220V and 1.2A. See : http://dkc3.digikey.com/PDF/T031/0854.pdf I'm specificaly interested in the PR3BMF11NSZ. Anyway, Digikey sharges a bit to much for over-seas distribution, so I'd not like to order just a few from them just for tests. They want $5 for "Handling", $6 for "Intl. processing fee" and an "unknown" amount for p&p... I looked at the Opto22 devices, most of them was the "Zero crossing" variant, which, if I'm not misstaken, make them unusable for lamp dimmer applications. Anyway, my design already uses a separate opto coupler ("Triac trigger") and a standard Triac. I just thought I'd might get fewer parts... Thanks anyway ! Jan-Erik.
