Can't directly answer your question, but I know that PCI hardware is VERY= hard=20 to build. From what I have read, the IO lines have to be a very small len= gth=20 due to high speed transfers, and there are a lot more criteria that need = to be=20 satisfied in order to have a successful working PCI board. That's the har= dware=20 side.. you then have to look at how hard it would be coding the driver si= de of=20 things. ISA would be a lot easier if you had a lot available (or perhaps=20 parport?).
