Since most of the programmers (including myself) are dumber than the
compiler(-builders) I think it is justified to issue warnings like
these. Anyway these messages are only warnings, which you can easily
(and with a good compiler selectively) suppress. But possibly you
suppress a warning that might save you hours of debugging. Better 100
warnings too many than 1 too few.
