And will work equally as well for the 16F628 and 16F877 parts.

Yes. Note that this pin is RB4 for the 16F628.

The same: RB6 and RB7. Note that the LVP pin is RB3 for the 16F877.

One last thing: If you get ahold of a 16F877A part, that it has a different
programming algorithm. Just something to be aware of.
