No need for agitators and such. Just use insulated "bell wire" standoffs on each corner of the board and place the board copper side down in the etchant. While gravity pulls the etched copper off the board, go and have a cup of coffee and the board should be etched by the time you come back. You may need a way of heating it, but I've never had to worry much at room temp.
