(Just thinking out loud) I would use a PIC to simply record co-ordinates in the moving target ever say.. 2/3 minutes and do a data dump back to base station using SMS every hour. The base unit would also want to communicate with the target using SMS to query it to get its' current position. It maybe simpler to just query the moving target at intervals as required. Now if something like this already exist, can anyone let me know where I can buy one?
