I'm starting to use  the 12F629:

- 1 Kbyte of FLASH Program Memory
- 64 bytes of general purpose RAM
- 128 bytes EEPROM (useful..)
- Timer 1 (16bit)
- Interrupts
- 1 comparator
- 6 I/O if you use internal 4MHz oscillator
- 2.0V to 5.5V voltage range
