One thing I often do is use a sacrificial socket on the PIC. Just a cheap socket on the PIC that stays on the PIC. Then the socket is moved from programmer to board and back. Then when the socket eventually gets trashed, you just remove it, put the PIC in a new socket, and you are back in business. If you can get, say, 10 inserts per socket or PIC, then you can get 100 inserts total :-) Al Williams AWC * Easy RS-232 Prototyping http://www.al-williams.com/awce/rs1.htm > -----Original Message----- > From: pic microcontroller discussion list > [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU] On Behalf Of patrik@FALKONLINE.NU > Sent: Tuesday, March 18, 2003 10:29 AM > To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU > Subject: Re: [BUY]: Development board! > > > Thank you all for your fast answers! > > If works with both "some assembly required" and ready to run > (Im living in Sweden, home of IKEA.
