I think you may confirm the operation of parallel port by FPP. 1) In FPP main window click "Setup" 2) Click "Define/Test" in FPP Setup window 3) Then you're at FPP Define/Test window. From here choose the correct setting, ex the port you're planning to use, the pin # assignment. Finally click "Apply" and check "Enable". You may now play around with the radio button and monitoring your programmer with a voltmeter. It should toggle between +Vcc and 0V correspondence to the radio button setting.
