Yes. I would (a) nag Allegro until my query was answered
and/or (b) keep testing and plan for the worst case. Unless
you start making your own sensors you're stuck with what
Allegro can supply, so you just have to suck your guts in
and smile

I've found that in general testing a reasonable number of
samples is indicative of what to expect and any changes by
the manufacturer are likely to improve parameters (although
there have been instances mentioned on the list of some
specs of an IC degrading when another spec is improved,
but this seems to be rare)
