Subject: MPLAB ICD 2 Self-Test Failures

We have had some reports of problems with MPLAB ICD 2 self-test failures
after upgrading from MPLAB 6.12 to 6.13 (there was an MPLAB ICD 2 firmware
change in v6.13).  As a result, we are posting new firmware on our FTP
site
that does not exhibit these issues.  Please download these files into the
\ICD2 folder under your MPLAB installation directory and restart MPLAB.
The update should be automatic, but you can also select "Debugger>Download
ICD2 Operating System" to manually update your firmware.

These files are
  for PIC12F/16F Devices    ICD01020007.hex
  for PIC18F Devices           ICD04020005.hex

Access to the FTP site:

- go to: ftp.microchip.com
- select folder: devtools
- use password: needtools
