Tony, I have same setup with MPLAB 6.12 works fine Try 6.12 instead of 6.10 Andre Abelian -----Original Message----- Hi, I have been porting an rather large project from an 18C452 to an 18F452 and at the same time switched to mplab 6.10. I'm using ICE2000 with PCM18XC1 module for debugging. Now the strange thing is that I had stackoverflow/underflow (STVREN) disabled. When I stopped my program with F5 I got the error message that stack overflow/underflow had occured. I could repeat this several times and it always happened in my main loop (i.e. stack empty). Perplexed by this (as it is an extensively tested s/w) I enabled stack overflow/underflow and set the ICE to generate break at occurance. Yet I cannot get the ICE to generate the break, no matter how I try, I still get the dialog that overflow have occured when I press F5,but looking at the stack it's ok (empty in mainloop). I changed ICE setting to generate reset instead, this gave the same results, i.e. program works flawlessly yet every time I press F5 inside mainloop mplab shows 'stack overflow/underflow have occured'. I'm starting to think that this might be an mplab issue and is not related to my particular s/w, however as this is an grave error if shown to be 'real' I turn to the piclist to see if anyone else had the same experience. Anyone experienced somthing similar ? /Tony -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
