Also MicroChip claim they can't duplicate it.

I must save the project several times, one after the other, then check,
via explorer, ir the .mcp file is 1K long.  If it is zero, there will
not be a magic cookie!

It can drive you nuts!!!!

Interestingly, look at the mcp file in Explorer, it's zero Kb.  Refresh
once, and it's still zero kB.  Refresh again, and lo - it's 1 Kb.  Not
all the time, mind you, but most of the time.

I suspect some sort of half baked cache in MpLab6.

And, of course, once the "magic cookie" is gone, you have to go through
the lengthy process of setting up the project again!

The only way I can avoid smashing the thing, is to check for a 1 kB .mcp
file before closing the project.

I like the coloured editor, but I do not like anything else about it.
