Hi, me again. I just wanted to say that I may have been living in a cave for a while = and not aware of the usefullness of a PDA for I/O for my MPU projects. = But using a PDA for data entry and display for MPU projects is ideal for = me. If someone wrote a PDA program that was just a serial terminal, that = had adjustable fonts, I would gladly pay $20.00 for such a program. I = have found a couple that work great but for one problem. The letters are = so small that I just can't see them. The ideal terminal would allow the MPU to send font commands to the PDA. = That way, depending on the data to be displayed, it could be seen. My current project displays a floating point single data type. I would = like it to be BIG. But on the other hand, it displays a small menu of = commands so fonts would need top be smaller to get them all on the = screen. The MPU also accepts about different commands, each preceeded by = a letter, so having the touch keypad accessable would be a plus, as well = as the grafiti decoder. The Palm m100 is under $100.00 now and will probably be about $50.00 in = a year, so it is not too expensive for what it can do in many cases.
