Unless of course, your power will be off... but as you insert the plug, the contacts will all be touched at some point - causing a short. Again, not too sure about this, but this is why I avoided using one in my project. > > --BobG > > -----Original Message----- > From: pic microcontroller discussion list [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU]On > Behalf Of Jai Dhar > Sent: Monday, February 24, 2003 11:23 AM > To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU > Subject: Re: [EE]: Compact connector for serail port > > What about the power connector on a Floppy drive? 4-pins, cheap, and > small... > > Quoting rad0 : > > > I have an RC airplane gyro, with a little, female header plug, that looks > > like it slides over a pin header, 4 pins, --dimensions unknown, but it > looks > > simple and inexpensive > > it's definitely smaller than .1 inch, but I haven't neasured it yet... > > > > > > this might work, if someone can give a part number for this... > > > > > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Mike Harrison" > > To: > > Sent: Monday, February 24, 2003 10:07 AM > > Subject: Re: [EE]: Compact connector for serail port > > > > > > I think there is a standard-ish micro-USB connector used on some digital > > cameras - probably cheap > > but might be a problem getting in small quantities.
