My sincerest possible apologies to James - I honestly meant to send that message to him privately. I must need my head read. (many will agree :-) ) Sorry. But seeing I didn't, and Mike asks. > Russel, have you a medical license to treat depression? No. Just more experience than I'd like to have had with friends with depression. Only one has ever killed themselves, so far, fortunately. > Why have you got an idea into your head that you could be > helpful for the kinda guys? Could you distinguish depressed > person from some sort of a pervert? Possibly. Maybe not. That was entirely not the point. When there's doubt, erring on the side of sympathy is safe when human life is at risk. Which is not meant to be a criticism in the case I mentioned of how the guy was treated. Nobody knew. I was just pointing out that sometimes we may do more harm than we intend. > If a person gets dead frustrated after few Olin's light jokes, > better let the person quit PICs (tag ist uber alles :-) EE is for > real folks, not for the ... Let the person be visagiste, or > fashion-model, or some sort of these ... I can't translate that phrase into meaningful english. Neither could Babel Fish. I don't think I want to though.
