No, they are a lot more than that. What you are talking about is in the near infrared range. .8 to 1.5microns or so. There there is the mid infrared range cameras which are in the 3to5 micron range. The far infrared is what I'm interested in which usually come in the 8 to 12 or 8 to 14 micron range.
