as the max038 is actually discussed here, i would like to ask a question
about it too:

the MAX038 may be used in slave mode, where it is synchronized to an
incoming clock.
as the R/C based frequency selection of the MAX038 gives a relatively
unstable frequency, i would like to connect it to a pic controlled,
digital frequency synthesizer as a slave, just used to generate the
selected waveform.
what values for C and R do i have to use to select a base frequency for
the MAX038, so that the chip is able to synchronize to an incoming
frequency of 0.1Hz-20MHz?
