Your answer is here:

You might have trouble with the pinout, but at least you know it's a
44780. That's as common as a 74LS04.

If you're looking for the pinout, have a look at Hantronix's web site for
an equivalent device.  I'd bet money it's a standard configuration in
terms of pin organization.
