If I recall, the bandwidth on the Intersil chip is much less that the Maxim chip, whic I think is about 25MHz. I guess it depends on the application, much like other design issues. I have used the Maxim chip with good success. The printed circuit layout is important. Although I have standardized on nothing less than 4 layers, I think you could even get by with a one sided board if small packaging is not an issue. Good luck.
