Yes, but in the datasheet it shows the PLL feed coming from the side of = the inverter box, not the OSCIN pin - I was wondering if this had some subtle meaning..... maybe = I'm just being paranoid but the fact that it is not explicitly stated in the datasheet worried me. I = wonder if there maybe are some duty cycle criteria on an external clock to keep the PLL happy.=20 On Thu, 13 Feb 2003 20:28:53 +0100, you wrote: >> Looking at the 18Fxx2 datasheet, it says that the PLL can >> only be used in HS crystal mode, but it's >> not clear whether or not you can apply an external clock in >> HS mode and use the PLL - anyone know if >> this is possible ? > >Reasoning from the basics (HS is just a gain setting of the oscillator >amplifier) it should be possible. > >Wouter van Ooijen > >-- ------------------------------------------- >Van Ooijen Technische Informatica: www.voti.nl >consultancy, development, PICmicro products -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
