Best thing for you to do is go to the Microchip web site and
download the documentation at

http://www.microchip.com/1010/pline/tools/picmicro/icds/icd2/index.htm

The materials there will answer all your questions.

In brief, ICD for the PIC18F series requires access to VCC, GND,
MCLR, RB6 and RB7.
