Personally, I prefer Roman Black's BTc (Binary Time Constant) algorithm -
real nice. All that's needed is one output pin, one capacitor, one resistor,
a quick interrupt handler, some TMR0 driver code, a SEEPROM (or FRAM). Mix
it all together in a large pot, add salt to taste :-)
