There are several, but 'good' is something that invariably starts religious wars in newsgroups. I also do not know if starting C on a micro is a very good idea, because C on a micro is not really C. Maybe the best way to start C is to get a demo or free C version (like C/C++ builder from Inprise/Borland) and work through the examples in a book, the book being preferrably B. Kernighan & D. Ritchie's 'C Programming Language' , 2nd edition or above (because it covers ANSI C and prototypes etc). Then when you know how to swim a little you can swim in the micro world.
