Well well, despite all this recoding, and recommenting... guess what, still no work :-( My first question is that is it possible that when I was trying to code the routines manually (instead of through the MSSP), could I have damaged the pins of the TC74? Even though I was getting successful ACK's at that point... anyway, I'm really running out of options here. Almost considering ordering some more TC74's just to make sure that they aren't the problem. I have attached my section of code that I am using.
