I have the chip working and have not found it buggy.  What specifically is
your problem?

Hello,

I'm losing my mind, I cannot get the STA013 to work, if anyone has
experience with it I'd love to get just a KNOWN WORKING initialization
sequence.  I've found some stuff on the net, including a number of hacks
to get what seems like a poorly documented, quirky chip to actually
function, and no success.
