Hello all, I'm currently working on a project that's using a PIC16F872 as its heart and soul, but I'm finding I'm quickly running out of program space. I was looking for an as-close-to-entirely compatible part with more program space. I was looking at the PIC16F873/ PIC16F873A but was wondering what the main differences are. From what I can tell from the specs these are the differences: PIC16F872 to PIC16F873: Increase of program flash; 4k from 2k USART (which I want as well) That's all I noticed PIC16F873 to PIC16F873A: Addition of 2 comparators Am I missing anything major here? I would like to retain as close to 100% code compatibility, minus the USART code of coarse. Other then that, I require a 20MHZ clock, which both provide, and a 28-pin dip with pin-for-pin compatibility to a '872.
