Just checked the readme, nothing about the problems
reported here on the piclist.
Q: Have anyone been in contact with Microchip ?
   If so, what did they say about it ?

Yes I did, and they are working on it.  they did say they were "at a
loss" as to why the problem occurs.  I'm not critical of them, if I was
a genius myself, I might be :-)

Try the MPLAB discussion board on Microchip.com.  There you will find
that others are also having problems with magic cookies.  Call MCHIP
support, it is a known issue there too.  I talked to them repeatedly
over several days, and the best they could do was ask me to put all my
projects on my local hard drive.
