My favorite production programmer is to have the distributor do it before they ship the chips to me. That being said, we have not tried this yet. But the first time we get a job with 100 copies of some chip to program, we will. I checked with Digikey a year or so ago. Seems like it was twentyfive cents in 100's which seems like a bargain if you are talking of 1000's. At least one other person mentioned here last year that they did this and had problems; as usual, ymmv. Tom M.
