You're a newbie here yourself, perhaps. Not many posts against your name anyway. For your edification: This has EVERYTHING to do with PICs. This sort of discussion erupts every now and then and must run its course. A certain amount of "read the archives" suggestions help but largely people need to be happy with why we have tags, what the tags are for, and what we are trying to achieve in this international family. Suggestions such as a [NEWBIE]: tag (which was made with good intent and in good faith) seem to have to be thrashed to death so that people are happy with not having them or so that they get introduced if enough people agree. The core reason for having such tags is so that the list can address a wide range of interests while still (reasonably) serving its core task of being the very best PIC list on planet earth. To do this the discussion needs flow for at least some of the time through the PIC forum itself, as it is about how such material impacts the PIC core that is under discussion. And, incidentally, as an apparent newbie, relatively speaking; referring to other people's posts as BS, even in passing, is probably not a sterling way of endearing yourself to all and sundry. Some of the participants in that discussion were very valued members of the list and you probably don't want to start off on the very wrongest foot with them :-) Russell McMahon -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
