I think this example is completely unrelated, how can you compare =
knowledge and its sharing to swimming? can you learn from watching =
someone else swim from 2 kays away? I think not, can you learn from =
watching/listening on topics you don't yet understand? yes, volumes
What makes the PICLIST so effective IS the great variety of experience =
of its participants whatever they're experience level in the area one =
particular question may be, as Wagner said, are we not all newbie's in =
one area or another? While you may not have as much knowledge as someone =
else in one matter, you may know volumes more than them in another, its =
like layers of knowledge with holes in different spots, alone if all the =
holes are in the same spots, you end up with the same holes, layer them =
with layers with holes in different spots and it all gets filled in, now =
more holes in the knowledge.

Pathetic, is not being willing to learn from someone that you may =
consider inferior in they're knowledge compared to oneself. nobody here =
is aware of all the experience and knowledge that each of the other =
participants has and as such cannot classify anyone on this list a =
'lesser mortal' :-) than themselves.
