I need to send from a PIC USART to control two devices, one being a display, requiring commands & data, the other being another PIC requiring basically the same. Other than doing the obvious, is there a simple hardware method that can be implemented to address two devices on the receiving end? I do have an extra pin that can be used to control which...I am thinking of some standard logic in h/w, but I am hoping not to need another chip on this board, unless it is very small...
