Discrimination will never be welcome anywhere in the world, no matter what.
To say that newbies are a petty group of people that needs a special place,
where the ones "interested to help them should go there", sounds to me
something as if they have a contagious disease, or making part of a group
doomed to extermination.

Probably I couldn't find a better example of public figure (other than
Hitler) who tried to segregate people by knowledge, race, language,
religion, smell, dressing, food or skin color.  Probably Ed was not trying
to discriminate, but it sounded as a very strong suggestion to me.  I would
react the same way for suggestions to create special forums for white,
black, Hispanic, Asian, reds, boys, girls, etc, just because "they are
pestering the air", or "different".

The problem (related to newbies discrimination) is much worse than you
think, it goes down deep and can corrode the very foundation of any group,
since all of us are newbies in one way or another, perhaps I could be good
in one area but totally ignorant in others.  Any attempt to create a public
idea of knowledge discrimination, will shut me (and everybody else) down.
How can I feel comfortable to ask something I don't know?  Who will be
doing God's job to judge if a question is "newbie quoted" or not?  Any
slight support to this kind of idea, could silence hundreds of keyboards in
the group.

Perhaps the suggested category would be [DASQAP - DUMB AND STUPID QUESTIONS
ABOUT PIC], who in perfect sanity would send a message under this hat?

One thing is lighting up political or religion discussions, even that not
welcome this only creates fire and smoke, another thing is pump down the
undecided shy newbies - this is a contagious and deadly kind of virus for
any group.  I've seem it happens before, I couldn't react different.

I was not comparing Ed to Hitler, I was comparing the impulse idea to
separate people, expulse someone based on uncontrollable factors, that will
always trigger Adolph Hitler in my mind, probably would trigger someone
else in your mind, there is a long list of names to choose from.  I
apologize if the choosen one was acid enough for someone's palate, but for
sure it made the look out effect.

I for one, would be the very first to leave any group that votes to lift
those walls of discrimination.

I hope I made myself clear at this time.
