OK James, I just read thru the contest rules. Perhaps I misunderstand, but it appears you first give away a design, wait from 1 to 2 months, and then maybe get a board in return if you win? If I've got this wrong, please correct me. You also mentioned a whole panel above, but I didn't see that on the page you posted the link to. And how is this design supposed to be checked out if you submit it before getting the first board back? > And boy is it hard to win! There are just thousands of entries > every month and picking the lucky winner is very difficult. Might the lack of entrants indicate that this just isn't that good a deal for most people? Of course it's their contest and they can give away anything, or not, as they wish. However, if the aim is to promote Olimex I think there are more effective ways to do that. > Please (someone, anyone) DO layout a board, send it to the contest page and > then we can actually *wow what a concept* have something to actually use. > The people who are able and care enough to actually spend time revising the > PCB design files can then enter in the following months. > > Dont talk: DO! So why don't you if you think it's such a great idea? I might even be willing to design a little board just for the fun of it, but most things I can think of that would actually be useful might have some commercial potential. I also don't want to waste time on something that nobody ends up wanting. ***************************************************************** Embed Inc, embedded system specialists in Littleton Massachusetts (978) 742-9014, http://www.embedinc.com -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
