I (wrongly) assumed that all the pic12 parts were not supported by the PCM compiler. The PIC's I am working with are mostly 12f6xx, 16f628 and 16f876. I still have a few tubes of 16f84a kicking around, though. (I got a really good deal on those when I bought them 10 years ago :) So if the CCS PCM supports all of those, it's certainly affordable, IMHO.
