I am looking for an inexpensive C compiler for the PIC. For the AVR there is gcc but that's not an option for the PIC as far as I can tell. The chips I have been working with are the 12F675, 16F628, 16F84A, 16F876A. What I found so far is the PICC Lite but it has some limitations on some of the parts. The regular PICC is way out of my budget. The CCS compilers are reasonably prices but I need 2 to support the 12F and 16F parts. To put this in perspective, the projects I am working on are strictly non-commercial, hobby things. If or when I happen to put something together that is of commercial value and produces revenue I am certainly pleased to make the investment into a commercial compiler. Until then what can someone do to use C on the PIC? Adi -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways. See http://www.piclist.com/#archives for details.
