Roman, after reading your post "RE: [PIC]: Shift registers", sent on Saturday, January 11, 2003 12:45 PM, I asked our radio-market (kind of flee-market) guys about prices of 74LS595 shift regs and their Soviet clones in similar quantities. So I meant exactly 74LS595. No "language problem": Olin had blocked this very useful thing last summer. :-) My reply to Dwayne Reid was not "that it couldn't be done etc". It was about to prove the idea: If you need more I/Os, then just use PIC with more pins, not add extra I/O chips to 8-pin PIC. Mike.
