Hi everyone, I have a need for a fast high-current diode for motor flyback use. It needs to be very low Vf, fast, and as small and *cheap* as possible, preferably SMD D-PAK. One option would be to use a 20A FET in DPAK, which has an equivalent 20A rated body diode both fast and low Vf. Could I just attach the gate pin to the source pin, keeping the NFET permanently turned off and just use it as a $0.50 fast small 20A power diode?? Has anyone done this in a motor power application? -Roman -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you. See http://www.piclist.com/#topics
