Governments seem to like courses for the unemployed that teach things that (to me at least ) seem a natural given for an adult, such as, and I quote, "Wash before going to an interview", and as I have remarked before how to not tell the truth to get a job. I wonder if they've ever considered courses for employers on how to advertise a position. To me the following advert tells me nothing, certainly not enough to motivate me to find out what the hell they're talKing about. Job Description Our client is committed to a culture of compliance with thecompany and to this end have established a Compliance Department. We are seeking a highly motivated person who is well organised to work in their Compliance Department on the Gold Requirements Refere to job description for requirements. The above is a direct cut and paste! Perhaps I'm having an Olionic attack, but I would expect the company to at least give some idea as to the actual vacancy rather than just a vague idea espousing what looks like part of a mission statement- and I don't view those all that favourably either.
