I had the misfortune of re-writing some code written for the 16F877 which
communicated with a PC using RS-485. Unfortunately, the Windows programmer
must have had more power than the PIC programmer, as most of the work was
done on the PIC. What a mess. Anything that can be done on the PC, should
be.
