Hi Wouter. I would also like to report a successfull build and test-run of JAL. Environment : AlphaStation 250 4/266 OpenVMS Alpha version 7.3-1 Compaq C 6.2-003 the compile and link run OK (after supressing warnings) : $ cc/nowarnings jal $ link jal $ dir jal.* JAL.C;1 764/765 11-JAN-2003 10:56:03.97 JAL.EXE;1 765/765 11-JAN-2003 11:00:52.93 JAL.OBJ;1 1556/1557 11-JAN-2003 10:59:38.60 Total of 3 files, 3085/3087 blocks. $ I then downloaded the JAL source for your "fader" project and compiled : $ jal fader jal 00.04-53 (bc55) input files:11 lines:2155 chars:60133 (382 lines/second) compilation nodes:13192 stack:328Kb heap:4409Kb seconds:5.630 output code:228 file:14 stack:2 OK $ Is 5.63 sec a reasonable compile time ? Lastly I run a DIFF between the new HEX file and the HEX file from your fader project web page : $ diff fader.hex fader.hex_web Number of difference sections found: 0 Number of difference records found: 0 So all i well, and your JAL compiler is now up-n-running on OpenVMS, the best operationg system in the galaxy !!
