And to comment on Olins comment: I agree with his opinion that the datasheets are quite readable (they are complex, but that's because the subject is complex) and they do contain errors (but that's because they are big) and are recommended for the more experienced reader. But do get a good book, read the datsheet, and when you encounter problems with a particular area, *then* read the book on that area. For the few problem area's you will meet the book will still save you a lot of time. BTW the piclist (techref) website or the piclist archive can fullfill the same role as a book, sometimes maybe even better.
